Talks normally last between 30-45 minutes with time at the end for a question and answer session. However these can be adapted to a school’s needs.
Cash Course is a fun and interactive budgeting game for secondary school 学生 in Years 10 and 11, which aims to improve their financial literacy and capability whilst increasing awareness and understanding of student finance and student life.
Students work in groups and take the role of a student starting university. Each group is given a weekly budget and asked to make decisions on how they will spend their money on such things as housing, 社会生活, 食物, AG费用等.
Each group will be asked to have a different focus or character e.g. someone on a tight budget, or someone that likes to socialise. Groups then justify their decisions to a panel of judges - their bank manager, 最好的朋友和讲师, all role-played by current 学生 - who give feedback on the financial, academic and social consequences of the group's choices.
For more information or to book a talk or Cash Course please email Outreach on firstname.lastname@example.org.
